Mariska Hargitay crosses over…..

The actress recently announced that she will be joining the cast of the new t.v. series Law & Order: Los Angeles. Mariska already has a recurring role on the New York branch of the series as Detective Benson…but will be taking her undercover skills to the sunshine state.

“I got to work with them yesterday. They have an incredible cast…I think it’s going to be strong right out of the gate.” Mariska told E! Online.

She also added that her guest story line in the show will be based on her real-life work with rape victims.

“We are doing the show about the backlog of untested rape kits. It’s something people don’t know about. After a woman’s been raped and goes through a four- to six-hour very traumatizing and invasive procedure you would expect it gets tested. But often times, most of the times, they sit on a shelf in a police facility. It’s something my foundation is trying to change, to eradicate the backlog.”

We don’t know how long she’s going to be on the show….but this should be good!

After an investigation into the handling of 104-year-old, hospital-dwelling heiress Huguette Clarke's $500 million fortune, the reclusive Clarke's relatives have asked a court to bar Clarke's lawyer, Wallace Bock, and accountant, Irving Kamsler, from touching any more of her money. Amongst the questionable cash-spending decisions are Bock's and Kamsler's selling of Clarke's $23 million painting and $6 million Stradivarius violin, while allowing $2 million in tax liens to be placed on her empty real estate properties. Clark's relatives, all descendants of William Clarke, a U.S. senator and one of the richest tycoons in America at the turn of the century, want Huguette to be declared incapacitated so that one one of them can be appointed her guardian. But for now, Bock and Kamsler remain in charge of Clark's finances while the heiress "obsessively collects dolls" from behind hospital doors.

Clark, a one-time socialite, definitely does not want to deal with the family drama headed her way, after twenty years of avoiding people altogether! But it all catches up with you in the end, Huguette. Especially when there are large sums of money involved.

The “Break-Up” star caught everyone’s attention earlier this week when she was seen having dinner with Lindsay Lohan’s ex Harry Morton. Last night Jen was spotted out again…however this time it was with her rumored BF Chris Gartin. And according to a source, the two were on a date and all cozied up.
